Nach unserem Aufenthalt in Wien führte uns die Reise weiter nach Ungarn.
Schon auf der Fahrt verändert sich die Landschaft – weiter, ruhiger, mit einem ganz eigenen Rhythmus. Unser Ziel ist die Burg Sümeg, eine eindrucksvolle Festung, die hoch über der Umgebung thront und einen weiten Blick über die Landschaft eröffnet.
Während ich dort oben stehe, stelle ich mir vor, wie eines meiner Bilder in diesem historischen Umfeld wirken würde. Die kraftvollen Mauern, das Licht der untergehenden Sonne und die Weite der Landschaft bilden eine Atmosphäre, die Kunst beinahe selbstverständlich aufnimmt.
Am Abend fahren wir weiter in Richtung Balaton. Der Sonnenuntergang am Plattensee taucht alles in warme Farben – ein Moment, der still macht und zugleich voller Energie ist. Genau diese Augenblicke sind es, die mich auf Reisen immer wieder inspirieren: das Zusammenspiel von Landschaft, Licht und innerer Wahrnehmung. Solche Orte öffnen den Blick – nach außen in die Weite und nach innen zu neuen Bildern.
After leaving Vienna, our journey continued to Hungary. As we drove, the landscape slowly changed — becoming wider, calmer, with its own quiet rhythm. Our destination was Sümeg Castle, an impressive fortress rising high above the surrounding countryside, offering a breathtaking view across the landscape.
Standing up there, I could easily imagine one of my paintings placed within this historic setting. The powerful walls, the light of the setting sun and the vast openness of the landscape create an atmosphere that naturally welcomes art.
Later we continued toward Lake Balaton. The sunset over the lake bathed everything in warm colors — a moment of stillness yet full of energy. These are the moments while traveling that inspire me most: the meeting of landscape, light, and inner perception. Places like this open the view — outward into the distance and inward toward new images.
