Neue Perspektive
Unser neuer Standplatz in den Hügeln eröffnet mir den Blick auf die Landschaft aus einer anderen Richtung. Die Küstenlinie, das Meer und die Weite des Horizonts erscheinen hier neu gegliedert. Mit der veränderten Position verändert sich auch die Wahrnehmung von Raum, Tiefe und Stimmung. Gerade diese Verschiebung im Sehen bildet den Ausgangspunkt für ein neues Werk.
Am Beginn steht die Skizze. In ihr entsteht die erste Annäherung an Figur, Haltung und Komposition. Die Zeichnung dient dabei nicht nur als vorbereitender Schritt, sondern als konzentrierte Form der Bildfindung. Aus der Reduktion der Linie entwickelt sich nach und nach die malerische Ausarbeitung.
Das Motiv der weiblichen Figur mit dem erhobenen Granatapfel verbindet gegenständliche Darstellung mit symbolischer Bedeutung. Der Granatapfel trägt in sich eine vielschichtige Bildsprache: Er steht für Fülle, innere Struktur, Fruchtbarkeit, aber auch für Verletzlichkeit und Wandlung. In Verbindung mit der Figur entsteht ein Spannungsfeld zwischen menschlicher Präsenz, Naturmotiv und metaphorischer Ebene.
Auch die Landschaft ist mehr als Hintergrund. Sie wird zu einem stillen Resonanzraum des Bildes. Das Blau des Wassers, die kargen Hügel, das wechselnde Licht und die Atmosphäre des Ortes fließen unmittelbar in den Malprozess ein. Der neue Standplatz eröffnet mir nicht nur eine andere Sicht auf die Umgebung, sondern auch einen neuen Zugang zum Motiv selbst. So wächst aus einer Skizze langsam ein neues Werk – getragen von der Landschaft, dem Licht und einer neuen Perspektive.
New Perspective
Our new spot in the hills opens up a view of the landscape from a different angle. The coastline, the sea, and the vast horizon appear restructured here. With the changed position, the perception of space, depth, and atmosphere shifts as well. It is precisely this shift in vision that forms the starting point for a new work.
At the beginning stands the sketch. In it, the first approach to figure, posture, and composition emerges. The drawing serves not only as a preparatory step but as a focused form of image-finding. From the reduction of the line, the painterly elaboration gradually evolves.
The motif of the female figure holding up the pomegranate combines representational depiction with symbolic meaning. The pomegranate carries a multi-layered visual language: it stands for abundance, inner structure, fertility, but also for vulnerability and transformation. In connection with the figure, a tension arises between human presence, natural motif, and metaphorical layer.
The landscape is also more than a backdrop. It becomes a quiet resonance chamber for the painting. The blue of the water, the rugged hills, the shifting light, and the atmosphere of the place flow directly into the painting process. This new spot offers me not just another view of the surroundings, but also a new access to the motif itself.
Thus, a new work grows slowly from a sketch—carried by the landscape, the light, and a new perspective.
